What you get out of being a Victory Music Member

Victory Music's mission is to support and strengthen acoustic music in the Northwest through education and offering opportunities for performance. We do this chiefly through hosting quality open mics in neighborhood venues where you can hone your act and meet new friends.

In addition to our open mics, we offer opportunities to perform at our seasonal "All Stars" concerts and on sponsored stages at regional festivals. Our education branch includes "how-to" panels at music conferences and plans are in the works to extend our magazine content to include columns to help you build your act, improve your craft, develop your marketing strategy, etc.

That is a lot of stuff to do, and we are all-volunteer, so we are talking many man and woman hours. And funding. We need funds for things like website hosting and email services, replacing and repairing equipment, required D&O insurance coverage, printing fliers and mailers, and of course the ubiquitous postage.

Ways you can earn a year's membership while having fun and learning stuff: 
  • Be an MC or a Host at an open mic.
  • Help to set up or pack up after one of our open mics.
  • Learn how to run the sound board from one of our professional sound engineers.
  • Write feature articles, music and concert reviews for our magazine(s).
  • Help administer the website.
  • Donate a few hours each month to help with administrative, promotion and website tasks.
  • Become a Victory Music Board Member and tell us where to go!
  • Volunteer to help out at our "All Stars" quarterly concerts.
  • Help host a Victory Music open-mic stage at a local or regional festival.
  • Help scout and set up new Victory Music open mics in your own neighborhood.
  • Think of something you want to do and ask other Victory Music Members to lend a hand....
Your membership is only as valuable as your participation makes it.  The Victory Music Tribe has been around for 47 years and many of us are lifelong friends, sharing our musical journeys and our lives, helping out and helping up, because that's what belonging to a tribe is about.
